Functionality allows users to initiate online credit card processing from within Advance and perform gift entry and credit card processing simultaneously. When you enter a gift and specify a credit card payment type that has this functionality enabled, you are directed to an external site (via CyberSource or PayPal), which is where credit card processing occurs externally and independently of Advance. When the transaction is complete, the attributes of the transaction, including the authorization code, are automatically entered in the gift transaction and the gift can be submitted for gift processing.
The online credit card processing report allows you to view detailed information about credit card transactions processed online, along with the transactions linked to those charges. This report will assist in the process of confirming the data written to the Advance database, from the payment processor, matches the data recorded on the Advance transaction.
To access the report, select Online Credit Card Rpt from the Page Tree while current in the Gift Batch. Information in the report displays from the ONLINE_CC_TRANS rows linked to the batch, as well as data for gifts where batch_gift_tender_type.bg_card_auth_source is the tms_cred_card_auth_source identified as Use for Online Credit Card Processing.
